ASU fans can watch Kyle Cain, Trent Lockett and Carrick Felix lead the Sun Devils in Pac-12 basketball action this fall at the renovated College Dropouts, which now sports new indoor and outdoor seating and boasts an expanded patio area with a cozy keg room for small, private parties. “College Dropouts is a true college bar,” said Kevin Jones, owner of the Tempe hotspot. “We take great pride in ASU, and we’re the place to visit when you want to cheer on ASU or just hang out with your college buddies and have a great time.”
With another exciting ASU men’s basketball season beginning under Coach Herb Sendek and what is sure to be another winning ASU women’s basketball season under Interim Coach Joseph Anders, College Dropouts will be hosting hoops parties for all home games that take place Thursdays through Sundays. “We’ll also be hosting away-game parties,” Jones said. “ASU fans need a place to get together and cheer on our ASU teams when they can’t get to the games.”
Weekday happy hour specials run from 4 to 7 p.m. and include $5 Running Nakeds, $4 Q Bombs, $3 Long Island Iced Teas, $2 PBRs and $1 off drafts. The bar has 2-for-1 drink specials on Friday night, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., and a 25 percent discount for industry professionals all day Sundays. “We specialize in craft beers from Lumber Yard, IPA, Four Peaks, Sleepy Dog, and Red Rover,” said Jones, “And all of the fun shots and great bar drinks everyone loves.”
Within walking distance of Wells Fargo Arena, College Dropouts is a first-stop for many Sun Devil fans looking to celebrate another win. The bar is also within walking distance of ASU student housing and downtown Tempe and is conveniently located across the street from ASU’s Sun Devil Stadium – so close that the building rocks every time ASU scores.
