Speaking at the National Motorhome Show, Nigel Coppen, Client Director of Shield Insurance announced to UK motorhome enthusiasts that, despite average motorhome insurance claims rising by 39 per cent, the average UK motorhome insurance premium had in fact remained constant, at around just £250. He added that average claims for his company throughout 2010 amounted to £2119, whilst in 2013, the average claim rose to £2,951.

Insurance for UK motorhomes continues to drop month-on-month, with premiums down 9 per cent for March 2014 compared to March 2013, and also 19 per cent down when compared to March 2012. Mr Malpass added: “So for those shouting ‘how can I sell my motorhome’ or, ‘buy my motorhome’, we have access to more and more used motorhomes than ever before. And with the years of experience we have under our belts, we can source the highest quality models and offer the very bet prices”.
