Tucson Arizona Locals are outraged over an incident occurring at Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar” in Tucson Arizona.

On March 30, 2013, a group of friends went to eat at the Toby Keith “I Love this Bar” in Tucson Arizona.

For a Saturday night, the immensely large facility was rather empty and over staffed.

The band echoed throughout the room, even though it was at peak time for a Saturday night at 11pm and less than 20% occupancy.

There seemed to be more staff than customer. Toby Keith’s “I Love this Bar” must be a black hole losing money day after day with such low customer volume.

In asking some of the patrons why the low attendance the response was “It’s from the poor management and staff-bulling customers.”

With over one million people living in Tucson, it should be fairly reasonable to fill a 24,000 sq ft bar and have it be cash cow.

It makes you wonder if Toby Keith knows that his name on the building is being associated with such poor, rude, aggressive employees.

On the night of March 30, what began as a normal night at an empty bar ended with an unnecessary abuse of power when one of the patrons was seen being physically bullied by Tobey Keith bouncers.

The two employees later identified as head bouncers, Marcus Klaune and Marvin Snodgrass, were seen approaching a young male standing by the bar and physically removing him from the establishment. They proceeded to throw him onto the concrete offering no explanation for their actions.

Once outside, Klaune and Snodgrass continued to push and kick the young man and were heard yelling "Admit it”, “You did it”, "Apologize”. Several other bouncers working at the bar joined in on the bullying while the male was being held to the ground and unable to move. The act of violence resulted bloodshed and ripped clothing.

A 21 year old female eye-witness said "one of the bouncer’s flicked off the guy’s hat just to provoke him". However, not once did the young man resist, talk back or attempt to physically harm any of the involved employees. As a result, the bouncers allowed him to leave and Law Enforcement was never involved.

When the bouncers were asked for their names, all four responded that their names were all “Joseph”.

One of the customers, approached Marvin Snodgrass asking why his friend was being removed. Snodgrass claimed that the “Asian was going to swing at him”. The incident resulted in Snodgrass physically removing the young man as well.

In interviewing the seven witnesses that observed the scene, all of them stated that the Asian did not hit or swing at anyone nor did the young male that was beat return the blows.

Towards the end of the incident, one of the customers tracked down the female manager, Jamie Cortez for her assistance in an attempt to stop the abusive bouncers. When asked why the customer was carried out she seemed to be surprised and unaware that anybody had been physically removed even with a desolate bar. Regardless, Cortez seemed unconcerned and had little desire to investigate the matter.

Cortez subsequently spoke with multiple bouncers and the head of security, Bryan Scrazelle but could not offer a reasonable explanation for the excessive force.

On April 2, Cortez was questioned about the abusive bouncers and although clearly stating that she did not see the incident, Cortez insists that the seven customers were removed due to “excessive intoxication”.

She claims head bouncers, Klaune and Snodgrass acted in compliance stating a white male weighing 140lbs attempted to “swing at them” when approached by the workers. However, several eye-witnesses claim that never occurred.

Cortez also claims a 220 pound Asian approached Marvin Snodgrass asking about his friend. Snodgrass also claimed that the “Asian was going to swing at him”.

Despite the statements made by several eye-witnesses Cortez and her employees continue to offer fabricated narratives to justify their actions.

Be advised when you go to the Toby Keith “I Love this Bar” in Tucson, you may be treated with little respect, and Toby Keith should be careful who he puts in charge of his management and security team.
