Interestingly that is not the case. Not only are these countries geographically divided, but the culture, tradition and food is also diverse. What is more surprising is that the common thread between them, the Arabic language, is also spoken in different dialects throughout the world.

Eton Institute’s ‘Arabic of the World’ cultural evening will take participants through the streets of Syria, the food of Lebanon, the celebrations of Egypt and will break the myth that all people from the Arab world speak Arabic the same way.
“As a teacher of the Arabic language I’m often asked “How do you say, How are you?” in Syrian or “Hello” in Lebanese? Many students tell me that they have Egyptian colleagues or Emirati friends and they want to know what the differences are between their culture and the rest of the Arab World. So organizing a cultural evening focusing on these differences is a perfect medium to highlight the assorted flavours of the Arab World,” commented Hala Al Ali, Head of Arabic at Eton Institute.
The ‘Arabic of the World’ cultural evening will be held on Wednesday, 24th April from 5.30pm to 7.00pm at both the Abu Dhabi and Dubai branches of Eton Institute.
