PRESS RELEASE: Raleigh, NC, 25-NOVEMBER-2013 – Corrective Chiropractic and Dr. Mark Jensen DC, Raleigh chiropractor, are pleased to announce that solutions for bad posture are available through the local chiropractic office personnel. Poor posture can affect many other aspects of health, a fact that many do not recognize. When improper posture in sleeping, standing, or sitting is a problem, the chiropractic doctors have the answers.

Dr. Mark Jensen DC, Raleigh chiropractor explained the posture correction process to an interviewer recently. "We do a thorough examination of the alignment and posture of our patients as part of the initial intake consultation. We can use sophisticated assessments and measurements to determine if there are postural problems which could be corrected with a combination of exercises and adjustments."

"Once we have identified the problems" he continues, "we are able to devise a program or plan to alleviate the physical problems and strengthen the body's ability to move freely and naturally in the correct position. We may need to do spinal adjustments to begin the process. Strengthening exercises can be assigned to do in the office or home so that muscles which have been weakened due to poor posture are improved and made stronger."

Evaluations of workplace posture and positioning can be an important part of posture correction. Ergonomics plays a role in good health. Many people spend long hours in a position that is causing poor posture and may lead to pain or malfunction of one or more of the body systems. An awareness of the position of the body while sitting in front of a monitor can sometimes be enough to lead to improvement.
