QuickBooks Online, the cloud version of QuickBooks allows users to pay a monthly subscription fee for accessing the software with secured login via any web browser. Among financial software, QuickBooks Online was the global leader as of 2014, with a little over a million subscribers.

The QuickBooks Online API, while designed to be easy to use, can prove to be complex, challenging even frustrating. However, for those wishing to develop API for use with the QuickBooks platform, there is a resource available to turn to for advice and help, and that is E-tech.
