“Business planning using the LOTS ensures conformity within the company in terms of a common purpose, objectives and strategies. It defines terminology and the process we adhere to within the Rezidor Hotel Group for strategic planning into the future. “The course is challenging and demanding as well as a lot of fun, which helps managers to better cope with the ever increasing demands of the job” said Jan Spooren , Director people development at Rezidor.
The course conducted by Olof Karlsson, General Manager of Radisson Blu Centrum Hotel, was attended by fourteen directors and managers from Radisson Blu Hotels in Egypt including Mohamed Idris, Nevine Nader, Atef El Eskandary , Ranis Heiba from Radisson Blu Heliopolis; Ahmed Shawki, Mohamed El Badry, Taha Mansour, Nagham Mohamed, Sameh Salib, Moawed Youssef, Essam Salah and Marcus Graham from Radisson Blu El Quseir; and Ahmed Salah, Mahmoud Ezzat from the Radisson Blu Alexandria. Participants were divided into three groups. After daily sessions conducted by Olof, the groups continued their coursework developing a business plan. Discussions and debates ran into the late hours of the night. Four days later each team presented their plans to the LOTS Board Members for evaluation. The LOTS board members were Mr. Ashraf Naguib, General Manager of the Radisson Blu Heliopolis, Mr. Mohamed Yassin General Manager at Radisson Blu El Quseir and Dalia Amer, General Manager at Radisson Blu Alexandria.
