INCREASING INTERNATIONAL ATTENTION TO BE REFLECTED AT HARDWARE+TOOLS ME 2012

Qatar’s ongoing construction boom is attracting worldwide attention from manufacturers and suppliers of tools, construction material and hardware, looking to tap into the growing demand from the strengthening Gulf state.

Fuelled by large-scale investments in the creation of top-class infrastructure, public facilities and commercial and residential property in order to realise the ambitious goals of Nation Vision 2030, the Qatar construction industry has gained strong prominence in the region.

Additionally, the surge in construction and infrastructure development has been further accelerated by Qatar winning the right to host the FIFA World Cup in 2020. This envisions the creation of 9 all-new stadia and the renovation of an existing three, coupled with massive construction projects needed to house and entertain the expected flood of visitors and players for this world renowned event.

All this frenetic construction activity is set to keep the country’s industry ticking over at a healthy growth rate of 12% annually until 2015, according to recent research released by researchandmarkets.com. This growth encompasses the entire spectrum of construction including: retail; commercial; industrial; residential; tourism; and leisure as well as the development of airports and educational and sports facilities.*

The resultant demand for construction material and machinery has fuelled large scale interest in Qatar on the part of international manufacturers and distributors, who are expected to participate in the upcoming Hardware+Tools Middle East 2012, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“As the only dedicated trade event for the industry in the region, Hardware+Tools Middle East has seen increased interest in the Qatar market from our exhibiting partners,” said Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of organiser Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “At this year’s edition of Hardware+Tools Middle East, we expect to see even more trade visitors and buyers from Qatar, which is currently the 8th largest source country for trade visitors to the event,” he added.

Hardware+Tools Middle East is the premier trade event and conference dedicated to the tools, hardware and construction machinery fields. Reflecting the latest trends and developments in the sector, it offers key influencers, buyers and decision makers in the region a specialized platform to assess and evaluate the products and services they require.
