Three women from the UAE have been ranked among the 20 Most Influential Women of the Watch and Jewellery Industry by Arabian Watches and Jewellery (AWJ) Magazine.

The April edition of AWJ Magazine features 20 women who played vital roles in the growth of the industry and stand out with their contribution in development, design, and innovation in watches and jewellery.

Amna BinHendi, Hind and Mahra Seddiqi of Ahmed Seddiqi have been ranked among the industry’s most powerful and prominent figures.

Three women from the UAE have been ranked among the 20 Most Influential Women of the Watch and Jewellery Industry by Arabian Watches and Jewellery (AWJ) Magazine.

The April edition of AWJ Magazine features 20 women who played vital roles in the growth of the industry and stand out with their contribution in development, design, and innovation in watches and jewellery.

Amna BinHendi, Hind and Mahra Seddiqi of Ahmed Seddiqi have been ranked among the industry’s most powerful and prominent figures.

Hind Seddiqi of Ahmed Seddiqi boasts a Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Arts and Sciences in Mass Communications with Public Relations concentration from the American University of Sharjah.

Prior to joining the family business, Hind worked for an International public relations company.

She was instrumental in establishing the company’s Marketing Department in 2006 and streamlined all marketing activities. She was also member of the Executive Committee that looked into all business aspects of the family business.

“I aim to further grow the image of the company and its different subsidiaries as the leader in luxury and service,” says confident Hind.

Mahra Seddiqi, also of Ahmed Seddiqi,joined the organisation 15 years ago and since then has been involved with the high-end jewellery brands.

“I had a very clear vision on how to develop the luxury jewellery brands in Dubai. From day one of committing myself with the organisation, I could say that I had been an instrumental part in creating awareness among clients about the high-end luxury brands – be it a timepiece or a piece and set of jewellery,”Mahra added.

CEO of BinHendi Enterprise, Amna is a graduate from Zayed University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Information Technology. When she joined the family business, she initially worked with every division to understand how the different support systems function.

Amna told AWJ Magazine that her company has introduced a lot of portfolios of new brands such as Joseph and Joe’s Café.

“We created our own in-house café called Now Café and Extreme Shawarma. We have just opened our second franchise Joseph & Joe’s store in Kuwait and we are growing big in the franchise sector in the UAE. Giving to the residents of the UAE what it needs, is our continuous effort.”

Amna believes women can professionally do a job as good as a man can but it’s going to take some time for women. “I think this is the biggest challenge and I want to set an example so women can come out and follow their dreams.”
