The hand-picked squad from Qatar will make up of four teams that will participate for the first time in the championships, which will be held alongside Intersec, the region’s leading trade event in the security, safety and protection industries taking place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Organised jointly by 911 Firefighting and FireFit of Canada, the popular championships will feature more than 100 firefighters and emergency rescue personnel competing against each other in tests of skills and endurance.
“The Championships have proven immensely popular from the very inception,” said Mohammed Al Ahmadi, General Manager of 911 Firefighting. “The growing popularity of the event has now attracted participation from across the GCC. We look forward to an even more successful event this time,” he added.
Over the years Intersec has gathered much support from government entities and the event continues to attract the key players from across the different sectors of Commercial Security & Information Security, Aviation, Homeland Security & Policing, Fire & Rescue and Safety & Health.
