Houston, TX, 29-OCTOBER-2013 – Texas Bugs-R-Us and Calvin Thigpen are pleased to announce that they offer an advanced bed bugs heat treatment process which is effective against the unwanted pests. The firm has the expertise and equipment needed to eradicate the infestation. Heat treatments work and they are an eco-friendly and effective way to remove bed bugs.
Explaining the bed bugs heat treatment process, Calvin Thigpen commented, "Bed bugs are dangerous pests that are becoming more prevalent in the U. S. These parasitic insects typically accompany you home after international travel or a stay in a hotel. Their numbers declined in this country after World War II, but this trend reversed after the ban of DDT. The bugs are named for their tendency to attack their prey in beds. They are nocturnal animals that live in carpeting and other furnishings with cracks or crevices."
He continues, "We use a portable direct-fired propane heater. These eco-friendly devices elevate the ambient temperature to a level that is lethal for a variety of insects, including bed bugs. The unit disperses heated air throughout the room so that it warms every location that pests might hide. Heat treatments eliminate the requirement to use toxic pesticides inside your home and the potential for lingering chemical residue. Our professionally trained technicians can safely eliminate the bed bugs with one treatment without damaging your home."
Bedbugs sleep in hidden locations during the day and then come out at night to feed. Their bites are painful and can provoke allergic reactions. It may be possible for bed bugs to transmit Hepatitis B, staphylococcus and other diseases. With the ban of DDT, heat treatment has become the most reliable way to exterminate bed bugs and their eggs. Failure to kill the eggs means the infestation will continue.
