Geneva, IL, 23-OCTOBER-2013 – Ginsberg Chiropractic and Dr. David Ginsberg DC, Geneva chiropractic physician, are pleased to announce that non-surgical procedures are available to alleviate lower back pain as well as many other conditions. The basic premise of chiropractic medicine is that the body is able to heal itself if impediments are removed. Many of the impediments are connected to the spinal column.
Dr. David Ginsberg DC, Geneva chiropractic physician spoke to an interviewer recently. "Adjustment of misalignments allows the spinal discs to perform their intended function once again. Spinal discs serve as cushions between the vertebral pairs. When they are fully hydrated, movement of the spine is painless and easy. When the discs are compressed, they can create all sorts of pain and movement issues. The discs can bulge into surrounding tissue, irritating it and affecting movement and strength."
"Therapeutic measures" he continues, "consist of realigning the spinal vertebrae, so that the discs can be returned to their proper position and function. Realignment occurs through a number of specific techniques which are unique to the patient. We use methods such as massage to relax and remove stress. We teach exercises which will help to strengthen the supporting muscles. We also help to adjust work environments according to ergonomic standards."
When pressure on the discs is removed through chiropractic therapy, they no longer press on surrounding tissue and nerve roots. This allows swelling and irritation to decrease. Aligning the spinal column has an effect on many, if not all of the other systems of the body. The therapy is not usually painful and is not typically a lengthy process.
