There is a lot of hype and media frenzy with regards to a ‘double dip’ recession, the state of the Pound against the Euro is a problem with holidays in Euro land at the moment, it is expensive when you get there even if you have been lucky to secure a reasonable holiday.  This is the reason that so many families are taking their holidays at home in the UK that are designed to save money.

What will happen next season in 2012 if the UK does go into what the politicians call a ‘double dip recession’ what will this mean to our holidays, to get real value for money book your break during low season, when accommodation prices during these times is generally much cheaper, and families with pre-school children should take advantage of booking during these cheaper periods, not only will you save money, but there will be less people around.

Do many people think about their next year’s summer holiday in the Autumn before, or are their minds lingering on the wonderful time they had this year whilst staying on one of the many Cornwall caravan parks, or indeed a Devon caravan park.

Booking early in January will definitely secure a caravan holiday in the West Country, especially if you are trying to book a static luxury caravan or a holiday cottage.  Holiday prices for the 2012 season are now out, and planning next summer’s holiday in the dreary months of winter gives a lift to the sprit.

Spending a family holiday on a caravan park Cornwall is really good value for money and of course as you will be traveling by car, you can certainly take some luxuries with you, in terms of food and drink.  Of course everyone loves to go out for meals and a few drinks, but you can still have a superb holiday using your BBQ if of course they are allowed on site, or cook up a storm on the cooker in your caravan.

Camping holidays are great fun for all the family, and if the right location is chosen you can have plenty of activities on ‘tap’ for everyone to enjoy, especially in Devon and Cornwall, beautiful walks, cycling, surfing, and other water sports, or maybe just taking in the sun on a lovely stretch of sandy beach.

A spokesman for Wooda Farm Holiday Park in Bude North Cornwall said “campsites in Cornwall, also a good campsite Devon offer everything for the perfect family holiday, we have a variety of fifty five luxury holiday caravans situated within our park, all set in lovely landscaped gardens, and most have excellent sea views over Bude Bay with plenty of space for young children to play safely.  Touring caravans, Motor homes and tents are all welcome and our pitches at Wooda are very generous in size.  The park is set in forty acres of parkland and we even have our own fishing lake for the keen fisherman”.

More and more Brits are staying in the UK for their holidays and as the economy paints a gloomy picture currently, to save money, have a great time, and enjoy quality time with the family, check out a caravan holiday.
