Portland, OR, September 17, 2011 — Master Landscape Photographer Rodney Lough Jr. will continue leading outdoor photography workshops next year beginning in March in Arizona’s Antelope Slot Canyon near Page, Arizona. For nearly a decade the photographer has been leading workshops in the field – taking students deep into the pristine wilderness to teach them new methods and techniques designed to hone their skills.
The first of six workshops begins next March 15-18th in the gorgeous Antelope Slot Canyon near Lake Powell and Page, Arizona. These amazing canyons are geological wonders shaped by the forceful impact of wind and water over the course of millions of years. The canyons were sculpted into monumental cathedrals of sandstone, where fluid waves, curls and arches join together to create a series of deep, narrow passages in a warm palette of colors – nothing short of a photographer’s dream.
The 2012 workshops span across three seasons giving participants the opportunity to photograph dogwood blossoms in spring, gorgeous mountain peaks in summer and the vivid colors of aspens in autumn. With more varied climates to choose from, participants will have the opportunity to experience a diverse array of landscapes at different times of the year for the most optimal shooting conditions.
