Conshohocken, PA, October 01, 2011 — After a summer hiatus, student recruiting firm TargetX has announced its fall schedule of free half-hour webcasts aimed at helping colleges recruit best-fit students.

The monthly "Free on Friday" webcasts will return on October 7th, when two of the top thought leaders in higher education marketing provide an overview of enrollment trends coming out of the recent NACAC conference. TargetX CEO Brian Wm. Niles will be joined by Consulting VP Jeff Kallay in an entertaining look at this critical gathering of 3,000 admissions officers.

On November 18th, Niles will be joined by the nation's leading authority on the use of mobile strategy and devices in higher education marketing. Bob Johnson, president of Bob Johnson Consulting, will discuss what "mobile" means for college recruiters and give examples of what's working best.

A month later, TargetX's experience team will host its annual holiday webcast, which is typically among the best-attended events in the series.

All Free on Friday webcasts start at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.

The webcasts have become a staple of life in many admissions offices around the country, according to TargetX Marketing VP Adrienne Hamson. "People come up to me at conferences and workshops all the time and tell me how much they love them," she says.

"They tell me the webcasts have become a tradition in their office," Hamson adds. "If they can't watch live on Friday, they watch the recorded version following their next staff meeting — almost like a staff development activity."

To make things more convenient for its audience, TargetX is moving the webcasts to Facebook. "We're having the webcasts live where our viewers live," says Hamson, "and that's in the world's most popular social network. It seems only natural since so many admissions people use Facebook because they know that's where their students and prospects are."

People can access the October 7th webcast by visiting Facebook.com/TargetX and clicking on the "Like us on Facebook" button. "That way you can watch the event and be assured of receiving news about future broadcasts," according to Hamson.

Viewers can expect to see more guest presenters this year, both in the TargetX studio and via remote access, says Hamson. "Even though our staff experts are as knowledgeable and entertaining as anyone in the industry, we love the idea of bringing in additional people from the nation's colleges and other vendors serving higher education," she says.

"The industry is moving and changing so quickly that we want to make sure we feature the people who can help our viewers the most."
