Leading experts in the field of lighting design and technology from around the world will share their views on key issues affecting the lighting industry at the upcoming Light Insight Arabia Conference. The conference, which brings together leading industry figures, thought leaders and key representatives from the corporate and government sectors in the region, will be held alongside Light Middle East 2012, the leading trade exhibition and conference for lighting design and technology in the Middle East.

      

 

Leading experts in the field of lighting design and technology from around the world will share their views on key issues affecting the lighting industry at the upcoming Light Insight Arabia Conference. The conference, which brings together leading industry figures, thought leaders and key representatives from the corporate and government sectors in the region, will be held alongside Light Middle East 2012, the leading trade exhibition and conference for lighting design and technology in the Middle East.

      

Throwing light on the latest trends and developments in the field of lighting design, Light Insight Arabia provides regional professionals, designers, engineers, project managers and developers a key platform to network and interact with industry-leading experts. The two-day programme touches on crucial issues that impact the industry worldwide and gives delegates valuable insight into how the industry will look going forward.

Light Insight Arabia will provide delegates with vital information on the latest environmental guidelines and standards set for lighting solutions providers doing business in the region. The programme will begin with a presentation on Standards and Specifications from a Lighting Expert from  Abu Dhabi Municipality, which will be followed by detailed explanation of the ESMA Guidelines.

 

Among the key speakers on the first day are Mark Sutton Vane, Director, Sutton-Vane Associates Lighting Design from the UK, presenting Creative Ways to create good lighting and save energy. A paper on Lighting Design in the GCC will then be presented by AbdulAziz Al Azem from Design Tech Services, Saudi Arabia, followed by a Case Study on Lighting for Antarctica – about lighting solutions in extreme conditions, by Martin Valentine from Abu Dhabi Municipality.

 

Among key topics being discussed on the second day are: Why we need a Lighting Designer by Barry Hannaford, DPA Lighting Consultants; A Case Study on Lighting Large-Scale Projects by Jonathan Knight, Design Principal, RMJM Dubai; Designing with Daylight by Florence Lam, Global Practice Leader for Lighting Design Group, UK and discussions on the latest developments in LED design and technology and key developments in sustainable technologies.

 

Light Middle East, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 1st to 3rd, 2012, is the only dedicated trade platform for the region’s architectural lighting design and associated industries. As such, it is the sole event to spotlight innovative product development, current design trends and serves as a crucial platform for property developers, major clients and municipalities from around the region to source lighting solutions.
