May 22, 2011 – Certified Master Coach Cathy Liska, CEO and Training Director for the Center of Coaching Certification is leading a combination online and on-site Certified Professional Coach program in the greater Minneapolis – St. Paul area beginning June 20.  Successful participants of this comprehensive program will receive a Certified Professional Coach designation and certificate.

Starting June 20, a series of five 90-minute webinars will address topics including ethics, communication, and neuro-linguistic programming.  The live local classes will be held on July 14 & 15 near the Mall of America, and allow participants to experience coaching hands-on: coach, be coached, and observe coaching.  Targeting professionals, the Certified Professional Coach program is designed to build on experience and education, and focuses on the core competencies as promoted by the International Coaches Federation.  Pre-registration is required, and multiple-registrant rates as well as scholarships for non-profit employees or volunteers are available.

Coaching is the fastest-growing industry in the United States.  Recently quoted in a Workforce Management online article, American Management Association President and CEO Ed Reilly observed, “At forward-thinking companies, HR executives who are involved in influencing human capital management development are the ones recommending that executives or rising stars work with a business coach.”

In addition, an American Management Association study found that “sending potential coaches to external development programs was more strongly correlated with overall coaching success than more internally focused methods.”  Minnesota professionals seeking initial certification or continuing education will both benefit from this accelerated program that Training Director Cathy Liska shares, “is exceptional in content and quality of the training delivery, as well as an IACET authorized provider of CEUs.”

Recent participants in the program agree:
