Fort Myers, FL, November 14, 2011 — Dog-gone Sauce Company donates BBQ and Hot Sauces to The Humane Society of Pinellas to sell in their new retail store. Everyone got to taste the delicious gourmet Dog-gone Sauces at the ribbon cutting of their new retail store.
The Humane Society sold many bottles of sauce at the ribbon cutting after the guests tasted the sauces. “My favorite is the Pineapple Honey” said Sarah Brown, Executive Director of HSP. “I’ll put that sauce on everything” said Tom of AARO Printing. As the event got going everyone was coming up to the tasting table and saying that they heard about how delicious the sauces were and had to see for themselves. “I have been blessed with a great job and have always been very compassionate about dogs and cats. One day I was thinking about how I could take something I enjoy doing and turn it into something that would help the animals too. That is when the idea came to me,” said Jeff Schmidt, President of Dog-gone Sauce Company. “So, after a lot of work developing the product with feedback from friends, I’m proud to introduce an exceptional line of gourmet sauces to the animal loving world.” Schmidt said “I donate the proceeds to Animal Shelters and Rescues and I’ve also developed a program, called Helping the Animals. I wanted to create a program where, with no cost from their budget, places like the Humane Society are able to sell the products and get the proceeds they need immediately.”
