Hardware+Tools Middle East 2012, the region’s only dedicated trade and networking event for hardware, tools, materials and machinery, concluded a successful three-day run at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre recently.

Hardware+Tools Middle East 2012, the region’s only dedicated trade and networking event for hardware, tools, materials and machinery, concluded a successful three-day run at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre recently.
Trade visitors were seen making their rounds of the show floor late into the final day in search of prospective suppliers and products. The 210 exhibitors from 18 different countries,were satisfied with the overall response to the show and the number of prospective deals lined up. The local players also demonstrated satisfaction levels.
“Early indications and some initial feedback from our exhibitors, I can say we are happy with the performance obtained from Hardware+Tools Middle East 2012,” said Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “This continues to be the most specialised trade event for the sectors represented and it is considered to be a gateway to the region for many of our international participants,” he added.
“Going forward, we will continue to align ourselves closely with our regional partners, paying particular attention to their specialised needs and requirements,” Pauwels stated.
Elva Ye, Sales Manager of Jianhua Kiangmai Tools Co. Ltd, said that the company’s focus was primarily on the UAE market. Participating for the second time with their range of safety goggles and welding holders, Ye was pleased with the outcome and said that business generated was extremely good and they had gained a number of good contacts through their participation. The company’s main customers in the region include the Middle East operations of Nissan.
The exhibition’s special feature, the outdoor Demo Area, where exhibitors showcased their products at work, drew visitors to watch demonstrations by Arwani Trading Company and Einhill, in large numbers throughout the event .
Among the trade visitors making the trip to the event for the first time was Hassan Al Kashoum, Executive Manager of Mohammed D. Kashoum Group from Saudi Arabia. “I was really impressed by the variety of goods and services on display at the show. I found what I was looking for and will surely be back next year,” he said.
The second edition of the Middle East Construction Forum, a two-day programme of seminars and workshops designed for professionals employed in the regional construction industry drew a great response.
