Toronto, Canada – GAO Commis offering its D-Link Compatible 1000Base-SX GBIC Optical Transceiverdesigned for WDM Gigabit Ethernet, fiber channel links and other applications.
This hot-pluggable D-Link compatible 1000Base-SX GBIC optical transceiver, model C016G102, provides up to 1.25 Gb/s bi-directional data links and operates at the wavelength of 850 nm. It consists of two sections: the transmitter section incorporates a VCSEL laser and the receiver section uses an InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC.
Compliant with the GBIC Specification Revision 5.5 and Gigabit Ethernet standard as specified in IEEE 802.3z, it boasts a transmission distance of up to 550 m over multi-mode fiber. In addition, a 20-pin connector is used to connect the converter to the host system.
