AST Sports Science is eager to watch Brian Shaw compete at the World's Strongest Man Competition

August 30, 2008. Golden, Colorado. The World's Strongest Man contest creates legendary men. For nearly thirty years men have traveled from all over the world to show off their remarkable strength skills through extremely challenging tests. This year a new competitor will take on the challenge to win the name of the World's Strongest Man. Brian Shaw, 26 years old, a powerful 370 lbs and proud AST sponsored athlete from Ft. Lupton Colorado, is ready to show off his remarkable strongman skills to conquer the competition for the title.
Shaw is one of the youngest strongman athletes in the world. After playing college basketball Shaw took weight lifting to the next level and was surprised to see how fast he could make gains. Brian Shaw made strongman history after turning pro in only seven months, while it takes most men many years and even decades. Shaw trains hard and sometimes takes his training outside of the gym with thousand pound tires, atlas stones, and even cars. Shaw reaches his incredible size by eating six to eight thousand calories a day along with taking the full line of AST Sports Science supplements.
